Flexion Distraction decompression: Stretch your Spine!

Auckland’s only specific low back Treatment.

If you are serious about giving BACK PAIN the BOOT, look no further!
Low back and leg pain can have both psychological and physiological implications for sufferers. Both can rob otherwise healthy people of motion, sleep, comfort and dignity.

If the following sounds like it may benefit you, your friends or other low back pain sufferers, please contact Dr David Kay on 09 5235663. For the first time in Auckland, a safe, painless and extremely effective low back treatment exists. No surgery no medication with a proven track record right here in Remuera, Auckland.

Extremely common in the US and Australia, Flexion-Distraction treatment relieves muscle spasm and disc bulges which “choke” nerves causing pain, tingling and weakness into the legs.

Treatment involves the use of a specialized table that stretches the spine, taking pressure off the bulging disc or tight low back muscles. The result, less pain, greater movement and NO SURGERY or Medications. There is no pain involved in the treatment. Over time, the ‘slipped disc’ can repair itself by reducing pressure and inflammation on affected areas.

It is the STRETCH you always wanted but could never get for your low back.
We follow a "50% rule": if a patient has not by 50% at the end of 12 sessions, then spine specialist referral is considered. Spinal Stenosis cases may take up to 6 weeks to show change.

Treatment can benefit back pain, disc herniation / ruptured disc / bulging disc / prolapsed disc, sciatica / leg pain, stenosis, facet tropism, facet hyperostosis, failed back surgery syndromes, spondylolisthesis, "hip pain" due to sciatic nerve irritation, transitional segment, scoliosis scalpel ankylosing spondylitis, arthritis: (both inflammatory and non-inflammatory arthritis).

How often do I need treatment? Under ideal conditions, disc injuries take 3 months to heal. Commonly treatment is carried out at 3 sessions per week for 1-2 weeks with frequency decreasing with improvement in symptoms. The extent and seriousness symptoms will determine if more than 3 sessions per week are appropriate. Flexion-Distraction is also fantastic if your low back pain not responding to regular chiropractic, osteopathic or physiotherapy.
